![]() Watchin' replays on the leaderboard's a great way to learn of tricks. Otherwise, top notch graphic presensation and sound. This would be so much easier if my attacks were hitscan instead of having travel time, so I could actually accurately know where my shots are going to hit on enemies more than 12 metres away, but now I'm just complaining about stupid crap that the game isn't about. On one hand, I can appreciate this, because it is annoying having to go through a bunch of easy stuff in games just to get a challange, but on the other hand, this just seems extreme. You'd think there would be some difficulty level choice, or maybe the game would start out a bit slower, but it just seems overly fast in how much it throws at you. I move my screen to look at the big horned skull homing in on me with what seems like perfect homing skills, and the next second, I'm in a pit, or have run into an enemy and died. Like I said, I fall off so many times because there's so muich stuff I need to look out for, while TRYING to run away, and my view distance is so damn short, it's hard as hell to even know where the platform ends. It seems so small compared to what actually goes on in the game. I usually enjoy this sort of thing, but in this game, where you need to move diagonally constantly and keep shooting to avoid being overwhelmed further, collecting these gems is ridiculously hard, at least after the first 40 seconds or so.Īll of this is made stronger by the limited movement space. ![]() It doens't help that you need to stop shooting to make gems come to you. I do not see how it is possible to get any breathing room here. I understand that the idea is you're supposed to kill enemies quickly so you have breathing room for the next wave, but I swear, I'm doing perfect runs where I run to the enemy as soon as they spawn, they throw up skulls because you cannot hit the red gem fast enough, I defeat them and before I can even start on the hoard of enemies they throw up, another one has spawned. But I NEED to look to see where all the skulls are, because there's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many of them.Įnemies spawn in so quickly. I've fallen off the platform so many times because there's so many damn skulls that I need to focus on, plus enemies that spawn is SO often that if I move my view to the skulls following me for a second, something just spawns in and kills me when I walk into it it seems like. I find this very annoying because it seems like there could be so much more, like dodging shots or weaving between enemies, but that's not what happens, because you need to spend all your time playing moving diagonally to avoid the damn skulls. ![]() They move faster than your character does, which literally means you CANNOT move in a straight line in this game (at least from what I can tell, maybe there's some hidden mechanics the game didn't tell me about, like everything else), and you always have to be circle strafing, which I PERSONALLY (it's an opinion guys) find annoying, next to the fact that the most common enemy in this game is the most annoying one in others. They home well, and considering how many there are, it just seems insane how fast they are. Their homing isn't a straight line or anything, but it's not far off. Yet, in this game, they are the main enemy in the game, and they are tough. Think Super Mario Bros 3 with the sun, or Super Meat Boy with the flies. First off, in most games, the enemy that follows you endlessly are usually the most annoying enemy in the game. I mean, the most common enemy in the entire game are the skulls, the ones that follow you endlessly. I've only played for about 20 minutes, my highest score is 150 seconds, and I generally enjoy a challenge, but this seems to be a bit much right off the bat. Yes, I am, but I still want to explain my views here. ![]()
